INVITATION
　The organizing committee of the 'International Conference on Molecular Interactions of Proteoglycans' cordially invites scientists who are interested in medical, biological, biochemical and biophysical aspects of proteoglycans. The conference will be held at the Shonan Village Center, a seaside resort near Tokyo, between August 27 and 30, 1999, right after the XVth International Symposium on Glycoconjugates in Tokyo. The extensive discussion in the conference will focus on the rapidly expanding knowledge on molecular interactions of proteoglycans, which will provide key information for understanding and designing therapeutic interventions of disease processes involving proteoglycans.

INFORMATION

A chartered bus to and from the Shonan Village Center

　 A chartered bus will depart in front of the Hotel East 21 at 5:00 pm on August 27th right after the closing lecture by Dr. Stuart Konfeld in the GLYCO XV which will be held at Hotel East 21 Tokyo, August 22-27. You are requested to pay 2,500 Japanese yen (about $21) for the one-way ticket fare.

Late registration
　Although the deadline of the registration has already passed, a few seats are still available.

Fee
　The registration fee covers all expenses for the conference including lodging and meals as well as the program and abstract volume fee. Participants are urged to register using the registration form attached in the following page. If the registration is accepted, the registered participants will receive a confirmation of registration. This confirmation must be presented at the Registration Desk in the conference site to receive further information for conference, lodging etc.
